Morning Reflection
“We do not throw in a useless coin and make some kind of empty wish, or sit close to the gushing waters and simply admire their loveliness. You ask us to leap into the source, to be thoroughly saturated. We are to be absorbed by the cascade and become one with your love. As you flow through our being we, too, become fountains of holiness.” ~ Fragments of Your Ancient Name

Opening Prayer 1
The wind at our backs, we entered Jerusalem. Only to watch him die on the cross. It spiraled so quickly. Trial. Torture. Crucifixion. Death. But on the third day the breath of God blew new life into our futures. Forty days with the risen Jesus. Before he ascended, Jesus reminded us that the Spirit will come. It was on Pentecost. It was on Pentecost when the wind breathed into each and every one of us. Sacred breath, move through this room. Unlock a song within your people. Breathe into us your hopes and dreams for a world filled with justice, love, and peace. Amen.
Welcome

Statement of Affirmation 3
We are a cloth of diverse colors made from many gifts and graces. We are the people flowing forth from Creator God, surprising ourselves with the things which can be done. We are raw material for rewarding relationships as our lives interweave, contributing one to the other, holding each other firm when one is weak or breaking. We are each worthy of being respected and cared for essential to the pattern, skilled in our appointed tasks, sources of laughter and sharers of tears. We commit ourselves to work together, that one day, this world may be a place where all people live in justice, freedom and peace.

As people of faith we have gathered for worship. As people of faith we now return to the world. We go out to share the story of faith, the story of life, with the world around us. We share the faith in word and in deed, in speech and in action. Thanks be to God! Amen.

Morning Reflection
“Some believe you intensely look for what is shabby and sinful in the depths of our veiled selves. Perhaps what you truly seek is our treasure of inner goodness, that cache of love you infused at the moment of our becoming. Our inheritance of your goodness never truly dies. It only hides out until it's ready to be claimed.” ~ Fragments of Your Ancient Name

Opening Prayer 1
Creator and Ruler of the Earth, we lift up our voices, our eyes, our hearts, our lives to You in praise. Make us Your alleluia people. Uphold the weary, for whom praise may be very difficult. Humble the strong, for whom "alleluia" may be too easy. Creator and Ruler of the Earth, continue to form us into Your new creation, that we might welcome You to more fully become the ruler of our hearts and minds. Through Him who came as a servant, and who now reigns over all creation, Jesus, our Christ. Amen.

Opening Prayer 1
Almighty God, to whom all hearts are open, all desires known and from whom no secrets are hidden, we rejoice to be as one in your great human family on earth and in heaven, invited by you into your holy presence, to worship and adore you, as the rainbow people of God. We draw near to you, understanding God; help us not to covet yesterday but to dream of a new tomorrow, so that all might be welcome in your community of faith; so that the whole world may know your love. We look upon you, tender God, the God who keeps loving us despite our failures; we bow our hearts and minds in humility, trusting in your forgiveness, leaning on your promise of welcome. We ask that by the inspiration of your Holy Spirit we may perfectly love you and worthily magnify your holy name, through our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

“Even though you are fully present I do not always detect your nearness. I look for you, anticipate you, listen for a hint of your voice like a tulip bulb in placid soil waiting for the call to rise up. You will reveal yourself in due season. The words God speaks are the life and sustenance of all that exists. The life Jesus gives is the re-creation and renewed birth of all that is broken and worn. The Spirit's stirring in our souls is the inspiration for creativity, compassion, joy, and community. Life-giving, life-restoring, life-fulfilling God; may our whole lives be worship. In all things, may we seek to connect with and to reflect your love and your hope. Amen.
