On Sunday, September 11, 2016, worship was held in the Healing Garden, at the Memorial Mosaic Wall. With music, Word and reflection, candle lighting and prayer, we remembered Lavonne, Greg and Will Bullis, the devastating events six years ago on September 9, 2010 and those of September 11, 2001, as well as our trust that joy always follows sorrow.

Reverend Kathryn Pyke offers a reflection on scripture as the congregation and musicians listen
A table was set at the memorial mosaic, with candles to light in memory of those lost.

Even in sorrow, there is joy and beauty - these flowers are in honor of a beloved couple's wedding anniversary.
Prayer flags flap gently in the breezy morning at the wall
Candles are lit in memory of loved ones from a central light
The "gentle breeze" makes lighting the flame a bit more challenging!
We offered our prayers of love and healing and memory in the form of lighting candles.
